Peppermint Extravaganza Tea Recipe
Peppermint Tea is cool and often boring. True, it's very good for you - an excellent aid to digestion, for example, but it's always served the same way. Why not jazz it up and serve your friends and family a great tasting summer drink with panache. This is a wonderful summer drink to serve when friends come over in the afternoon or evening. Here's the recipe:
Peppermint Extravaganza Tea
3 bags of good quality peppermint tea or three teaspoons of loose peppermint tea.
1.5 litres of water
Ice, crushed
Lemon juice and rind of 2 lemons; one lemon sliced thinly to decorate
Lemon Balm Leaves to Decorate
Pour 1.5 litres of boiling water onto the peppermint tea and leave to steep for 10 minutes. If using peppermint leaves, now is the time to strain the tea into another jug.
Grate the rind of one organic lemon and juice both lemons. Add to the tea.
When the tea has cooled, you can keep it in the refrigerator until it is cold.
To serve, add crushed ice to the jug and decorate with thin slices of lemon and lemon balm leaves
Enjoy
