Sugar and Iced Tea

More and more people nowadays are drinking iced tea. You can see it everywhere.

Although tea is praised for it's healthy qualities, a word of caution to the iced tea drinkers. The vast majority of iced tea available in cans, bottles and generally ready to drink, have lots of sugar added to them. Well as healthy as tea is, sugar, as we know, is anything but and drinking sugary (or worse iced tea with artificial sweeteners – not to mention the aspartame word) iced tea is will in no way enhance your health – the very opposite being the case.

All this said, iced tea can be a wonderful drink and it’s so easy to make. Just make your favorite tea (you can even use leftover tea) and let it cool. Add ice, some lemon, maybe a leaf or two of peppermint and voila – a wonderful refreshing healthy drink. No sugar necessary
