The Many Health Benefits Of Chamomile Tea

If you have a stressful lifestyle or if you don't sleep well, chamomile tea could help you. Chamomile Tea has many and varied health benefits.  It can be used internally and externally and has a pleasant taste. There are two varieties - German and Roman chamomile, both equally good and in North America the German variety is most common.  The best way to make chamomile tea is to pour 8 ounces of hot (but not boiling) water over 2 teaspoons of dried chamomile flowers.  Leave for 5 minutes and the tea is ready to strain.  You can use it hot or cold.  It's soothing, gentle and safe.

If you have stomach problems, menstrual cramps, chamomile tea will help.  It is also great for eye infections, mouth sores and skin rashes - just apply it cold with cotton wool.  It's gentle enough for babies and can also help your pets.  Chamomile's healing properties come from its flowers and it belongs to the daisy family.

Chamomile tea can help soothe many ailments and can be used internally as well as externally.  You can also find chamomile in creams and lotions as well as tinctures.  The internet is a great place to do research on chamomile and there are many websites where you can purchase chamomile or chamomile products.
