Which Is The Best Slimming Tea?
At times like these when many of us are wanting to lose weight, a natural method seems the best. Especially considering we have probably put
on weight because of poor choices of foods that are usually over processed. Our cells are clogged and need some pure ingredients to help them
detox. This is why teas are becoming more and more popular. So which is the best slimming tea for your purposes?
Opinions differ, of course, but there are many advocators of green tea for weight loss. Another tea to consider is Wu Long or Oolong tea. This
tea is between black and green tea. Green tea is simply the dried green leaves of the tea plant (Camellia Sinensis) whereas black tea is the
product of those same dried green leaves being also fermented – hence their darker color. Oolong is made from the tea plant but the leaves are
dried and only slightly fermented, giving the tea a nice smokey flavor. There has been a lot of buzz on the internet about this tea and weight
loss stories. Both green tea and Oolong contain caffeine.
Naturally tea companies have also blended greens and Oolongs to produce a slimming tea. For
example Tava Tea touted as the strongest slimming tea ever created, is a blend of Wuyi Cliff, Sencha, Puerh and Oolong and is their Wellness
Blend, burning more calories than green tea on its own.
The Chinese have been drinking green tea for centuries. If we go to a Chinese or Japanese restaurant, we are offered tea though out our meal.
These people know what they are doing so it would be smart for us to learn from them.
Herbal teas can also help you lose weight and there are many herbal slimming teas you can purchase. Be careful to check out the ingredients to
see which herbs are being used. Some of these teas contain laxatives and/or diuretics and not just simple herbs. Dandelion tea, for example, is
good to cleanse your blood, fennel is another great herbal tea that can aid digestion.
The reason many of these teas do help you with weight loss is that they increase your metabolism (the body’s way of burning fat). They also
tend to reduce the absorption of fat. Tea generally helps to protect your body against free radicals which are the cause of many health problems
and tea can also improve your immune system.
However, if we go down to basics, drinking a good slimming tea is definitely better and more healthy than sodas or diet sodas that are the
cause of much weight gain. If you substitute tea (with no added milk or sugar/sweetener) for these sodas, you will probably lose weight and
become healthier. Also you could possibly lose that sweet tooth craving that these sodas not only satisfy but create. Another factor is that
drinking tea, especially before a meal, has the effect of filling you up so you won’t be eating as much. Tea is also a great aid to
digestion.
In summary, substituting tea for that can of soda is a good thing. However, make sure your tea is pure and doesn’t contain milk or any
sweetener (artificial or natural) as it just isn’t necessary. There are many ‘best’ slimming teas on the market, but be sure to check out their
ingredients.
